Dan Edelstein este profesor de istorie și cultură franceză la Universitatea Stanford, unde predă literatura secolului al XVIII-lea și istoria gândirii politice. E unul dintre coordonatorii proiectului de umanioare digitale „Mapping the Republic of Letters”.
