FRANCO MORETTI (n. 1950), profesor de literatură comparată și istoric al formei romanești. În prezent este profesor la Universitatea Stanford,
unde a fondat The Center for the Study of the Novel și Stanford Literary Lab. A editat cele cinci volume ale cercetării enciclopedice Il Romanzo
(publicate la Editura Einaudi) și e colaborator frecvent al revistei New Left Review.
